About Me
My name is Dr. Melody Banks, and I married my high school sweetheart, Jason Banks, who teaches the Bible lesson plans with me. We have been together since meeting on one hot day during the summer of 1984 on Church's Island. We love talking about the Bible and teaching the lessons together. Most importantly, I am a sinner who is saved by the grace and mercy of my Lord Jesus Christ. I wake up each day, and realize I am nothing without Jesus Christ, and I pray that my lessons, website, and blog be a teaching tool that can be a witness to the world with a testimony of how to be born again by the Spirit of God through having faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ.
I bring experience in grades K-6 and middle school math and science, with a strong emphasis on helping take each student from where they are to where they need to be. Identifying the gap between where a student is and where they need to be is a skill I hold dear to my heart. Having recently retired as a schoolteacher with over 32 years in the North Carolina Retirement System, brings extensive experience in educating students. Through teaching at public schools, I have written five books that identify the gap between the secular and Biblical worldview pedagogy. I am currently an adjunct professor at Regent University.
There is a message for people today: the Old Testament has a message for the children of God. Jason and I are currently teaching a message of how to live in the world without being of the world. It is a blessing to be able to teach with my husband, Jason. I am going to be a witness with him to share our testimony with the world.
